Practicing yoga has been an integral element in Jane’s own healing journey. Yoga was suggested to Jane at a time in her life where she was in need of slowing down and becoming comfortable with stillness. Jane has been practicing yoga for 5 years, and is excited to share what she has learned so far on this journey, while always maintaining a beginner’s mindset toward yoga. It is her desire to assist those who are curious about yoga, and wish to decrease stress, heal, move their bodies, and become more grounded. Jane’s way of teaching is gentle, soothing and light-hearted. She has completed Agama Yoga’s 150 hour Level 1 Hatha Yoga training in Thailand and Octopus Garden’s 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training with Pat Harada Linfoot and Scott Davis. Jane has led yoga classes in the GTA with Open Arms, a program designed to make yoga classes more accessible to people in the broader GTA; Stretchies in the Park, Jane’s own free yoga classes aimed at members of the community who are curious about movement or wish to practice yoga outdoors; Yoga on the Island, a weekly drop in class on Toronto Island in the summer; and private yoga classes. Jane is currently studying Holistic Nutrition at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition. She dreams of leading retreats in the future which focus on mindful movement and mindful eating.
